How do I book an interview with camps?
A couple of days before the event, camp profiles will go live which will include details of the camp, videos & photos of the location and information on the roles they are looking for.
You will be able to book in for an interview with the camps that you are interested in speaking to, and the camp will then be able to accept that request and confirm the interview platform.
What do I wear to the hiring fair?
We've got good news, and we've got more good news. Camp is a place where individuality and self-expression is encouraged - so why would the job fairs be any different? You could wear something formal, like a suit or a dress.
How can I prepare for the hiring fair?
The most important thing is to be yourself. Camps Directors look for applicants who are passionate, display a strong desire to work with kids and have good experience in their chosen skill area.
Before speaking with camps, take some time to think hard about your previous experience - perhaps you have a ton of cousins who you entertain at family events, or maybe you have a young neighbour that you have taught to play football in your backyard. Think about your camp skills as well, have you ever assisted a friend or given tips to a beginner? You likely have more great experience examples to chat about than you realise.
Research the camp you're interviewing with
It’s always a good idea to do a bit of research before heading into an interview, and your camp interview is no exception. You should take a thorough look through the camp profile. This will help figure out what you still don’t know about the camp, the role you're applying for and help you think of relevant questions to ask during your interview.
